Every abhishek begins with water. Let the water begin somewhere sacred.

The Jal Shankha is the vessel the tradition reaches for first — a natural white conch from the Indian Ocean, used to store and pour water during puja and abhishek. Water offered from a shankha is considered purified by the conch itself, turning an everyday step of ritual into a blessing of its own.

What it's believed to do for your puja:

  • Purify the water offered in abhishek and daily ritual
  • Mark auspicious beginnings — the conch is Vishnu's own emblem
  • Complete the home temple the way tradition intends

A genuine natural conch shell in its natural white — inspected piece-by-piece before dispatch.

Product details

  • natural conch shell, natural white finish
  • approx. 11 cm × 7 cm
  • origin: Indian Ocean
  • made for the home temple.

A Jal Shankha is traditionally kept on a small stand to the right of the deity with its mouth turned upward, never resting directly on the floor of the mandir. Empty it, rinse it and let it dry fully after each puja — water left standing inside a natural conch is what causes staining and odour over time.
